The plot was more serious than I like for my personal reading pleasure but it was well written so I rated it 4 stars. Note this required major editing, wrong words inserted, mispellings not to mention gramatical issues.The hero (47) was so sweet you tended to feel sorry for him even though I detest men who cheat on their long term wives. Connie (45) the OW was as sweet as cherry pie I tended to like the two of them together regardless of how it came about. I never did get a good vibe from the wife who just seemed to keep her husband in the back seat she never understood he had a business to run. I would have been on those business trips with my hubby therefore avoiding him meeting the OW.
The basic premiss was a long term marriage that fizzles out and each participant goes their own way trying to recoup the need to be needed/loved. The wife gets lost in the world of the wealthy volunteering and getting lost in her charity work. The husband finds a person to help rebuild that need and lack of love. The OW widowed sat stagnant existing without love for the past two years and is ripe for the picking. Throw in two spoiled rotten kids ages 23 and 18 and you have soup to nuts in disfunction. I have to admit the ending was predictable but then again I pride myself on reading so much that I can't be fooled easily.
I really liked both the title and the cover photo it was appropriate and went well with the storyline. Had the writer not been deceased and had other works I would have picked them up and read regardless of the topic he had a very life like way with words making you feel you were actually experiencing things firsthand.
I admire you great grandson that had the notion to have this published. I'm proud on your Great-Grandfather's behalf what a wonderful thing to have done. Congratulations.
